Dave Israel was the RF engineer, who conceived of and designed the portable TDRSS Internet Link Terminal (TILT). The TILT was carried to Aruba, where it was able to talk to the TDRS satellite and broadcst the local video of the eclipse thru that satellite to the Internet and thus the world, in real time.
